Salt Lake City, Utah brings us Experiments, a praiseworthy eight track debut from psych rockers Cliffs. While the EP may fully embrace a traditional psych sound, its pop elements seem to be inspired by the 1970’s style of artists like Lou Reed and David Bowie.

Tame Impala’s sophomore album, Lonerism the follow up to their 2010 debut Innerspeaker is a sonic leap forward for this Australian bred psych-rock quartet. On this album a pop influence can be felt brought on by the indulgent use of synthesizers while still keeping their searing guitar lines, bouldering drums, free bass and of course Kevin Parker’s vocal prowess.
