Los Angeles based producer Spazzkid recently released Desire. The eclectic record pulls inspiration from traditional beat makers, post-dubstep and chillwave. While the album is self-recorded, mixed and mastered it manages to sound sophisticated while still maintaining the intimacy of a bedroom production.

Two things can happen when you have a lot of star power on one track. The first, is that it implodes and goes down in history as one of the worst collaborations of all time. The second option, the one we always hope for, is that our ears ring with joy thanking us as every note is sung and funky bassline is strum. Lucky for you, both Poliça and Daft Punk hit the collab nail on the head with these tracks.

Today SZA dropped her new EP S and “Aftermath” has taken the award for favorite track. We also insist that you listen to the “Meltdown” the lead single from Ghostpoet’s upcoming album Some Say I So I Say Light. It’s a perfectly executed, melancholy tune that we can all relate to.
