Every month we bring on an interwebs music aficionado to make an exclusive mixtape for our community. This month one of our favorite collectives PORTALS has taken on the task of hand-picking fifteen songs for our July Mix.

We’ve had a long standing relationship with the PORTALS crew. Many of them helped launch our Site Player and when they officially launched their collective site they opted once again to go the exfm route. We’re overjoyed that they’ve created this mixtape for us and can’t wait to continue collaborating with them from now until the end of time!

We’re super excited to officially announce that we’ll be presenting Portals SXSW Traveling Showcase. The outdoor party featuring 2 stages and 20+ artists will take place on Thursday March, 15th – beginning right about when the Texas sun warms your face and ending just in time for everyone to descend upon the city for a night-cap of your choice. Urbanears will be joining the party by giving away headphones to 15 lucky winners during the event

We’re thrilled to give back and support them as they have done for us in the past. Details are below. Make sure to rsvp!

Yesterday, PORTALS, a new music blogging and art collaborative launched with the help of thirteen very special music bloggers. Out of those thirteen, ten have been huge supporters of exfm from the very start. They have continued to support exfm by creating a PORTALS exfm account and placing our Site Player on their site.

We are beyond excited for them and we can’t wait to see how this new project unfolds!
